Past, Present, Future
In June 1957, Goodwill arrived in Newark, Ohio. An inspired group of women — The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Newark — saw an expanding number of disabled individuals who were unemployed, and went to work changing that.
From our humble beginnings of one employee, Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. was incorporated on November 16, 1977. Today, we employ over 500 people and operate as a record-setting organization with diverse business practices.
As we look forward, we’ll continue to provide essential services to our community — and create valuable employment and training opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
